Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNO): The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday carried out searches at 8 locations in Srinagar as part of its ongoing investigation into the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit woman 36 years ago.
According to a statement, issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the searches have been carried into a case FIR No. 56/1990, registered at Police Station Nigeen. The case is now being investigated by the SIA Kashmir.
The statement reads the case pertains to the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit woman, Sarla Bhat, who was a nurse at SKIMS Soura. She was brutally killed by terrorists 36 years ago," it adds.
It further reads searches have resulted in the recovery of some incriminating evidences, which will help in unearthing the whole terrorist conspiracy with an ultimate aim to deliver justice to the victim and her family—(KNO)
